EINSTEIN THE GENIUS
(Henry Jankiewicz)

  C G D G
Einstein was a genius, unlike you or me.
C D G C G
He wrote equations every day. On Mondays he wrote three.
C D G
Mondays, he wrote three.

C G C G
CHO: Albert, dance around. Albert, be profound.
C D G C G D G
Albert, let your hair stick out and your socks hang down!

I had a frame of reference. I left it on the fence.
Along come relativity. Ain't seen the darn thing since.
Ain't seen the darn thing since! CHO.

A man got in a space ship. He flew a million miles.
Busted through the speed of light. He came back a child.
He came back a child! CHO.

A man looked through a telescope 'til his eye was red.
He looked through outer space and saw the back of his own head,
Back of his own head! CHO.

A wave and a particle were walkin' side by side.
One said to the other, "Which one of us am I?
Which one of us am I?" CHO.

Newton had an apple. It hit him on the head
Doc McCoy came up to him, said "Jim, I think he's dead.
Jim, I think he's dead!" CHO.

Einstein played the violin. He liked to dance and sing.
If that ain't genius, that ain't anything!
That ain't anything! CHO. 2X

[Recorded by the Cranberry Lake Jug Band on "If This Ain't Genius...," Kicking Mule LP KM-339, 1986. It is also available on the CD Keepers 2, published by Minnesota Public Radio.]

Thanks, Mike! I also seem to remember a verse about a man seeing the back of his own head...

Einstein was a genius, not like yo and me, wrote one equation every night, Sundays he wrote 3, Sundays he wrote 3, then ChORUs......

A wave and a particle were walking side by side, said one to the other, which one of us am I, which one of us am I.....CHORUS.....

Einstein payed the violin, loved to shout and sing, if that ain't genius, that ain't anything, that ain't anthing...

Then a verse which I can't remeber about a man travelling at speed of light and coming back as a child. GREAT song.

By Henry Jankiewicz, I think. Chorus goes, "Albert, Dance Around, Albert, Be Profound, Albert Let your Hair Stick Up & Your Socks Hang Down!" Fun song I'd like to learn. Thanks.
