Kenny,

Thank you but thats not it.

More important than anything else perhaps, thanks for adding the chords. For some reason we have trouble getting chords along with the words in threads.

Maybe I'll just learn it now because you took the time to send me the info.

Don

Subject: Lyr/Chords Add: IRISH WALTZ (Charlie Landsborough)
From: Kenny B (inactive)

Is it this one perhaps?

IRISH WALTZ
ASB Charlie Landsborough

[D}I'm slow on my feet, and lacking in grace,
[G]No one could ever, look [D] more out of place
And [G]me on the [A]dance floor, with [D] egg on my [G] face
[D]Dancing an [A] Irish [D] waltz,

I looked up and couldn't, believe what I saw,
The kind of face, I 'd only dreamed of before,
So I swallowed my pride, and I took to the floor,
As the band played an Irish waltz

Chorus
[D] One, two, [G] three, went my heart
And we [A] smiled as we swayed, and the [D] band sweetly played,
My [G] legs felt like [A] lead, there were [D] stars in my [G] head,
[D] When we danced an [A] Irish [D] waltz,

I was clumsy and awkward, and so ill at ease,
Blood rushed to my head, and the strength left my knees,
But the moment that's gold, among my memories,
Is when we dance an Irish waltz, .... Chorus

Oh we've been together, for years since that night,
My two left feet, still can' quite get it right,
Our children look on, and laugh with delight
When we dance an Irish waltz, .... Chorus x 2

My first thought is that it sounds like "Bandera Waltz", but I'll go look.

Learned this great song at Old Songs about twenty years ago. Anyone ever heard of it or know who wrote it? We'd like it on our next CD but I'd sure like permission.

The Country band played the old Irish Waltz

Will you you dance with me, To night 'neath the stars.

Any clues?? Don
