Wow! Well, a group of the fine folk from the Ontario show showed up in MD one year and sang this one song that kept making me think "Well, it's been grand while it lasted, but this year, we're gonna get letters!!" I *loved* the song...they evidentally wrote it themselves. Lots of double entendres and innuendo. Wish I could remember even one line of it now...

Geez, I didn't know that show was still going on. I played it in 1984 and haven't heard about it since.

At that time it was held in Molson Park in Barrie, which is also one of the many locations that has hosted Mariposa. Where's the Ren Fest at now?

Mildly Curiouse

My then group "Octamerous" song there the first year it opened, I also Blacksmithed there for four or five years. Our Morris joint side Cat's on Fire have danced there the last couple of years. I wouldn't say it was particularly Bawdy, not much different than Maryland. You would expect to see that with the cross pollination of acts due to the same Director being used at both festivals. We do ALWAYS have a good time there though. JohnB.

?? I certainly didn't find it so, CS ; in fact I found it to be more then a bit prudish - but maybe I hit them on bad days. I've been twice - once a couple years ago when it was still a "Henry" faire - and last year when they had switched to Elizabeth.

They need trees. *grin* But given the size of Stephen Forester who resides there - any tree that attempts to grow will get chopped quickly. (He makes Paul Bunyan look a shrimp!)

But yes - had a grand time.

Our longest running gig is in the fall at the Maryland Renaissance Festival who's sister show is the Ontario Renaissance Festival. Any of you Canadians ever do/go to this Festival?

We've been meaning to get up that way for a lot of years, but it just hasn't materialized yet. I understand it's a grand time, and a *hell* of a lot more bawdy than my home show.
