I was looking through the archive looking for a thread about making your own strings. Found the thread, all right, but it didn't have the link to a site I was looking for.

So for all you phoaks who would like to make your own strings in custom gauges, here's a link to Strings and Wire. You can also purchase a string looping tool from them. The name of the place is The Instrument Workshop

Enlightened self interest confession: I have a rather arcane stringed instrument that uses a pair of brass strings. So I had to find a place that sold brass music wire. This place has it.
