Subject: RE: Sun Inn Llangollen, N. Wales Sat 13.7.02 From: greg stephens Date: 13 Jul 02 - 06:48 AM last time we(a motley collection of boaters)played the Sun in Llangollen, we heard a rumour afterwards that we were meant to have nicked all the pub's curtains. I would like to put on record that this is not true. What would people on narrowboats want with pub curtains? it's true we pulled down the curtains in the Black Lion in Consall Forge, but that was a dancing-on-tables alcohol-related accident: and we did our best to put them up again. |

Subject: RE: Sun Inn Llangollen, N. Wales Sat 13.7.02 From: Steve Parkes Date: 09 Jul 02 - 05:36 AM Misread the title as "Sun in Llangollen" ... in fact, I've been there when it was so sunny people were actually jumping off the bridge into the river. "Sun in Ffestiniog -- now, that would be a novelty! Steve (Sorry I'm going to be elsewhere, BTW) |

Subject: Sun Inn Llangollen, N. Wales Sat 13.7.02 From: Mr Happy Date: 08 Jul 02 - 05:04 AM calling all folkies! Saturday 13th July 2002 there's a session/sing around + camping, free beer & free barbecue food at: The Sun Inn, 49, Regents Street, Llangollen, North Wales [01978-860233] starting about 5:00pm. Paul and Debbie who run the pub will in return put a barrel of beer on for musicians and free food from the barbeque. Can't be bad. There is a campsite in Llangollen so for those not working Sunday it could be a weekend out. The itinerary is 2:00pm till late afternoon Traditional Welsh music session followed by The Chester lot with some of the Welsh traditionalists joining in. Knowing the Sun Inn we are probably talking about playing till the early morning. |
