Yes Shakespeare is collectable, and so are minitures, but it depends on the edition, condition and rarity.

Greyeyes is right take it to a dealer (Reputable) and see how much they would take it off you hands for. It will be worth perhaps 50% more than they offer if you found a buyer privately.

I've certainly never come across a Shakespeare that small. It may well worth taking it to a dealer for valuation. My mother has a set of miniature leatherbound children's books in a wooden casket which look very pretty but are not especially valuable, also about turn of the century. Rarity and collectability are the key, an individual Shakespeare will not be greatly desired by collectors if it was originally part of a set.

I have a complete text of "The Winter's Tale", bound in leather with gilded lettering and page edges. Published by David Bryce and Son, Glasgow, printed by University Press, Glasgow, MCMIV (1904), 416 pages.

The kicker is, it's tiny! The pages measure 1 1/4 x 2 inches (34 x 50 mm). I've had it so long, I don't remember where I got it. Has anyone here seen a book this small? Do you think it's collectible or valuable? I'd appreciate any info.
