Well, 'cats I'm a trifle surprised and disappointed there's nobody to hang out with in Ann Arbor on Tuesday. I'll walk main street and check out the Ark and the other suggestions above. If you Ann Arboreals change your minds, I'm still flexible.

Unfortunately the Ark website doesn't list an open mike on Tuesdays so scratch that unless there are two rooms?

There is a Keb Mo show, sold out, on their calender for Tuesday the 13th.

Thanks, Al Choglar, I will definitely go down to the Ark on Tuesday. What's the scene like? Should I take the baby Taylor and do the open mike thing? How many tunes, auditions, sign up time?

Big Mick! Man it would have been great to hang out. Oh yes we'll be at the Getaway. AND I'll probably be in Ann Arbor once a month for awhile, so another time, maybe, chum?

Wednesday evening at the Ark is Sean Tyrrell, from Ireland, worth hearing, who then goes to Milwaukee for the Irish fest, I'm thinking of driving from Cleveland area to catch him, cause I don't think I'll make Milwaukee this year.

Hey Chance:

My sister still lives in Asquared. She's a jeweler and does great stuff. I haven't been to the Ark since they gentrified it and moved it to it's high class digs on Main street, but they are right: It is the best folk venue in the U.S! Good bars for just hanging out and blues used to be the Blind Pig, and the Del Rio (not much music at the Del). Last time I was in town it seemed to have been invaded by coffee houses so I don't know what the current spots are. Check out Herb David's Guitar studio on E. Liberty (I think, everything is fuzzy now) for what's going on. Also look here:
