Yes, we should use the more gramatically correct versions such as the one which helped make a career for the late great Yul Brenner, "et-cet-uh-rdrdrah, et-cet-uh-rdrdrah, et-cet-uh-rdrdrah!" (be sure to "flip" the r correctly)

One of my personal fav non-words is Homer Simpson's "Doh!" which my youngest nephew began to quote at age 8 & 9, & still uses at 13. Ah, what marvelous behaviors our younger generation can learn from television.

Just when I was rejoicing that those pathetic AIR QUOTES were dying out, we have a new conversational annoyance.

People now are inserting nonsense syllables such as 'Blah, blah, blah' or 'De, de, de' to denote left out portions of a dialog.
