We're all here for you Sue...and Theresa says she's at home if you want to give her a call anytime. Jim, sorry about the missing cuddle! We were so near but so far at the Tap on Friday night!! Story of my life!!! Geoff and I had a brill week - doesn't it all go too fast though? Ah well, there's still Hull, Whittlebury and Captain Cook to look forward to. Ali PS Oh my God, I've just seen our photos from Whitby - I definitely had far too many glasses of port (and they were only to get my voice going!!)

For those of you who had to support me and put up with my tears on Friday in the Tap and Spile thanks. I couldn't have made it through that day without you all. James is ok - we all just need time and friends

MC Fat I'll reconsider the wedding as you saved your money and didnt give Alio that cuddle! She said she couldnt fly across the room to get to you! Ask me again at Otley!

I know accommodation can be a problem during Folk Week and many of you camp at Stoupes Cross. I noted that a good many of the static caravans were empty for folk week. Could be an idea to check with Adrian at Stoupes Cross (sorry don't have the number to hand) to check availability for renting for next year.

Amy Custard:

Yes, hoping to go if Chris isn't playing both nights that weekend. Rachael's back in Newcastle by then, but I know Tom and Joe are going. Enjoyed your playing very much - Gina would have been proud of you. Thankyou for being supportive, coming to my workshop, and to everyone else who took part in the contemporary poetry writing workshop. Shame you had to miss the final ceilidh, but hope the heather made up for it a little.

love, Jay xxx

Hopefully Joe's coming to Hull tomorrow, so he can have some heather from the fringe Garland as well. Joe was with us on Thursday last at Whitby for our outdoor session round the back of the Jolly Sailors and sang some excellent stuff.

I had a great time there. I kept on running into Joe Offer as well as Dick and Susan during Whitby Week, and they confirmed they were having a great time. I didn't see them at the final night, but I got enough heather for all of them. (I suspect there's probably a law against sending heather by post, so I'll keep it somewhere safe for them, to make sure they come back again.

Joe especially liked Robin Hoods Bay, and the Dolphin Session there, where he sang an excellent song when I was there. When he mentioned his involvement with the Mudcat there was a lot of impressed interest round the room. There are a lot more people visit the Mudcat, as well as the DT, who rarely if ever get round to posting anything here.

And we heard from Dick in a special workshop session about the new CD-Rom of the DT which is just out, including MAC as well as Windows, and various other clever innovations. (But he still prefers the MS-DOS version, and advises us to learn how to use it.)

No doubt there'll be a thread about it here. Maybe there already is, but I haven't seen it.

This thread (Whitby Folk Week) is a bit long, so here is part two. I suggest people use this instead - many people can't access long threads.
