Subject: RE: BS: Tangos in Finland? From: mack/misophist Date: 14 Sep 02 - 10:40 AM A 1095 day forum search of tango + finnland yields nothing; likewise, Finnland. Tango yields nothing of use. Does any one have any ideas? |

Subject: Tangos in Finnland? From: mack/misophist Date: 12 Sep 02 - 10:13 PM The Tango is said to be strangely popular in Finnland. Today I heard, from a usually reliable source, that the Tango was introduced to the Argentine brothels by Finnish sailors. I could almost believe this except that the name and the rthythm pattern are from west Africa. Can any one out there enlighten me? A Google search was unhelpful. |
