OK, I'll probably need to get a mike soon, but I'll hold off till after the Getaway to see what people thought of this one.

Marion, I will be bringing acouple of them to the FSGW Getaway, along with 57s, 58s' Beta 57s and Beta 58s so that the folks there can compare them, on a flat-lined mixer. At the end of next week, when the 2002 Getaway is done, you might get some recent opinions.

On another thread Claymore suggested:

"If you do not have a mic, may I suggest the Radio Shack 33-3001, which comes with an XLR to 1/4 inch cord, and is the best kept secret in the mic world. It normally goes for around $80. but has been dropping in price over the years, and you can get one on sale for around $35. I use a lot of Beta 58s and 57s and with a windscreen, the RS beats them both on flute or soft female vocals. "

Has anyone else used this mike?

I would use it for singing and fiddling (not at the same time).

Thanks, Marion
