Don't think the Tron is going any more but Tom and I are over doing the Edinburgh Folk Club again next March. Really looking forward to getting things set up in the States. Maybe see you around somewhere. Fil |

If you will be near Ithaca/Trumansburg, maybe the Rongovian Embassy? (a bar) Good luck; wish I could help more. |

Didn't I see you play the Tron Folk Club in Edinburgh maybe six years ago? You do a lovely version of Roseville Fair? Hope all goes well with your American trip. Murray |

Subject: Irish singer needs Help finding gigs From: philomel Date: 12 Oct 02 - 05:26 PM Hello Mudcatters I'm new to the Forum and someone suggested coming here for some help. 2 of us are travelling to NERFA next month and our expected funding hasn't come through. So we're desperately looking for a couple of gigs to help finance the trip. I know it's really short notice but is there any chance that someone could help? In brief, I'm a singer/guitarist - I am both a writer and interpreter and mainly fall into the contemporary folk category, although I do include some traditional songs in my set. I'm accompanied by my husband who's an amazing percussionist. We do a lot of folk club work in the UK and Ireland and Europe, so house concerts would be what we need. The North East Regional Folk Alliance conference is taking place in Monticello on the PA/NY state borders. Many thanks |
