Subject: Letchworth & Baldock Folk Club moves (Herts, UK) From: treewind Date: 28 Nov 02 - 07:48 AM Just had this from the organisers: ================================== Hello everyone There are a number of major changes you need to know about at the club. Following our survey we are implementing what we trust will prove to be some interesting improvements. Firstly we are moving venue to The Old White Horse, Station Road, Baldock. The Old White Horse is a welcoming and clean environment; they stock a good selection of real ales and other drinks. They also have a decent restaurant and serve bar food. Our first night there is January 8th with Shave the Monkey. Secondly, we move to WEDNESDAY nights, hopefully this will help those of you who found difficult. Thirdly we are going WEEKLY! We have a fantastic line-up of your most requested return guests not to mention some terrific first timers at Baldock. You will find below our first quarter program, we look forward to seeing you in our new surroundings. Please note because of the above changes, there will be no further evenings at the Goldcrest. The barn dance has been cancelled and the evening with Malcolm Hobbs will be programmed into the 2003 schedule. Best regards Alan & Sue Hewson [and the programme for 2003 Q1, but I'm sure that will be on their website soon enough] ================================= Anahata |
