There has been talk of a worldwide Mudcat gathering in Nova Scotia, last I heard. Any updates?

For the last four years, we've had a Mudcat gathering at the October Getaway of the Folklore Society of Greater Washington. Actually, the gatherings happen all the time, all over the world. The UK Catters and those on the East Coast of the U.S. seem to have gatherings more regularly than the rest of us, but they're more concentrated and don't have to travel so far.
I went to a couple of Mudcat gatherings in San Francisco this last year to greet visitors from afar, and I went to several small Mudcat gatherings when I was traveling in England in August.
Somebody suggested starting a PermaThread to announced Mudcat gatherings. It's a good idea, but so far nobody has stepped forward to manage it. Volunteers, contact me.

Well, we have a Gospel Swap weekend planned for Feb. 21, and maybe a late spring Gathering too, but you were probably thinking of one closer to Mudcat Central. We are in N Central PA five hours from all the big cities in all directions.

I hear that there was a get together on the east coast (U.S.)
planned for sometime in the coming year...please send info so
those of us who might be able can pre-arrange our travel plans..
