Subject: RE: Chord Req: Dora the Female Explorer From: GUEST,Long Firm Freddie at work Date: 03 Mar 03 - 07:13 AM There's a sound sample of Dora the Female Explorer on Amazon.co.uk from the Pick of the Crop album - I haven't played it cos my work 'puter doesn't have a sound card. Saw Stackridge a number of times in the seventies (I have a time machine!) They were great fun. LFF |

Subject: RE: Chord Req: Dora the Female Explorer From: Helen Date: 02 Mar 03 - 05:38 PM My hubby and I have just adopted two 6 week old kittens, and two sisters with more opposite personalities I have never seen! Mine is shy and quiet, and needs to build up her stamina for playing, and rough & tumble. It took here about half an hour to venture out from the cat carrybox. I nicknamed my hubby's kitten Dora the Female Explorer within 10 minutes of bringing her into the house, because she had covered the entire area within that time and knew where everything was. Could probably have drawn a map, written a travelogue, and hosted a documentary! So, my question is: is there any way that I can find out the melody of this song? I've just e-mailed the words to hubby, but I reckon his next question will be, "how does the song go?" Helen |

Subject: All the words: Dora the Female Explorer From: TheBigPinkLad Date: 18 Dec 02 - 04:41 PM OK, lots of people asked, so here's the words: Dora the Female Explorer by Stackridge She comes o'er the mountains to fool with you. She never does the one thing you expect her to. Underneath the cliff top, hanging by her teeth This girl will find adventure right there at your feet Dora the female explorer has gone! Dora the female explorer has gone! Dora the female explorer has gone! Shooting down the rapids or diving fathoms deep Dora keeps you busy -- she never lets you sleep. Rain or windy weather rarely keeps her in If you want to keep her happy just ask her where's she's been! Dora the female explorer has gone! Dora the female explorer has gone! Dora the female explorer has gone! Dora, Dora, Dora, Dora, Do-o-ora do do do do! |
