Subject: BS: It's a Good thing, I swear..... From: Pseudolus Date: 30 Dec 02 - 11:53 AM A year ago at this time I posted a Thread because my girls had lost their Grandmother (my former mother-in-law) on December 19th. Well, it's happened to them again, this time on December 21st. My Dad passed away the Saturday before Christmas. In many ways, it was a blessing. He had been in a nursing home for seven years and was not living his happiest years. Still we will miss him and the holidays were pretty difficult for us all.....again. My Dad was the oldest of 12 kids, one who died as an infant. His brother died in 2000. The nine remaining siblings, their spouses and kids make up, in my mind, the world's best support system. We may not be the perfect family but they really seem to shine in times of crisis and I love them all. I didn't sing at my Mom's funeral in 1985 but I was able to sing for Dad, in some ways I sang for both of them together. My kids are doing well, I'm doing well, and as my youngest said about her Grandmother a year ago, he is "Peaceful and Painless". Thanks for letting me spout off a little!!! Frank |
