You could try the online section of FOLK LONDON which covers an area extending well outside of the M25.

If you're in mid to NW Kent, you might like to visit one of Travelling Folk's sessions on a First or Third Thursday of the month. The two venues in March are particularly good ones.

I posted immediately as it is slow tonight too. try the link and go to Martin nails site and folking.com and folkroots and efdss they are all fairly national. Hants has a site or is it TAPS? try Google.

The White Star in Romsey Wed night used to have a session. There is still a Ringwood club (see my "others" page).

I definitely list in the Wilts/Glastonbury/Wells/Bath area.

Thank you! Will add to tracer so I can refer back closer to time... staying with friends in Tenterden the early part of the week and going over to Glastonbury area to teach on the weekend, but probably a road trip at some point to see the Cerne Abbas giant and other monuments. Do plan to spend time near the sea in a couple of places.

I'm from US (southern Ohio, where the hills are) so not familiar with Harvester? The Thai food sounds good!

Mr. Red, was there more to your posting? Will look for sites I'm sure but like to get knowledgable recommendations from local folks...

Looks like I may be in Italy for two weeks in Mid March, and Kent/Glastonbury and points between for a week at the end of March, for a working vacation. Won't have lots of free time, but would like to find some good music while there. Anyone know of pubs, festivals etc where I might hear Celtic and other folk music? (I understand there are also enclaves of expat Brits/Celts in Italy-- surely some musicians among them?)

Thanks

Bekki
