Actually Susan, feel free to come over to our kitchen and do the dishes anytime. When I first started the show 15 years ago, I tried to be a little more organised...but the show would just seem to be so predictable. When we were on two hours from 12 midnight t'was huge fun, but I really DO prefer the one hour format now. Wish we were on later though.

Cheers

Rick

Acoustic Workshop really is a great show to listen to. You never know what you're going to hear on there. It's always interesting.

Being a guest is a great experience. Rick makes you feel like you're sitting around his kitchen listening to music, chatting and playing tunes. It's a little unnerving because you don't know what he's going to do next but that's half the fun. Phil, Glen and I had a great time. Thanks again Rick.

Susan

Chemistry? Peter T? Hmmmmmmm. Oh well, maybe so. Yup tweed, workin' without a net is the ONLY way I can do it. Every time I try to get more organized it simply isn't as much fun!

Cheers

Rick

Tweed,

Yeah I try to listen as much as I can. Rick gets some very good guests. There is usaully real, live music, intelligent conversation about music. As you've seen on the 'Cat, Rick's knowledge is incredible. And when he is not jamming with a guest he spins some music that you probably will never hear anywhere else. Peter T. drops in quite often and he an Rick have a real chemistry. And when Rick does start on a tangent, Heather (Duckboots) is there to get him back on track.

The show's great folks, and it's LIVE RADIO with real live people, playing real live instruments, dropping picks and workin' without a net... ON THE NET! Sorry, I'm a first time listener and mebbe too exuberant but it really was fun to listen to.

Yerz,
Tweed

Thanks for listening folks. Yeah, Susan's one of my favourite Ontario artists. Mudcat was verrrrry slow last night and today. Just got in finally. Thanks Tweed. We've been doing our best for the last 14 years. I keep a low profile though...ha ha!

Tweed,

I was not at work today, so I wasn't able to get the site that you semt me. I will go there tomorrow. CIUT has some great show, but you really have to pay close attention to the programming guide as it has some really strange stuff too. I must admit, Rick's show is the only one that I listen to regularly, but there is also a good blues show that used to be right before Acoustic Workshop. I used to tune in to both, but they have given it another time slot and I never remember to tune in.

Thanks for tuning in folks. And thank you for the kind words. I'm pretty proud of my baby sister.

Oh, and instead of messimg around with links, you can go here if you want to see or hear more:

Kat,

Actually, that link does work, but it always comes up bad, you have to hit "refresh" and the site comes up. It also has links to Phil Halliday and Glen Bensley's sites. They are Sue's friends who appeared on the show with her tonight.

Oh, kewl! She's singing one of my favourites of hers! Thanks, Susan!

And, on second look, I kinda lied like a rug. Google did indeed come up with Susan Latimer, singer/songwriter but it was a defunct link at stellarshowcase.com. I'm sorry, Rick, Susan. Teach me to double check google before I speak!

Still a great show! Thanks!

I'm tuned in right now and it sounds great. Dang, there's a couple more "World's Finest Radio" stations still in existence out there, I need to augment my list!   Thanks for the headsup Steve.

Tweed

Darn! I couldn't use that link, for some reason, so I've missed the first half. Here is an alternative link: CIUT-Alt.

Congratulations, again, Steve and Susan!

I'll refer to this as shameless Sis promotion, but my sister Susan will be Rick's guest on Acoustic Workshop in five minutes.

They will be talking playing some material from her newly released CD, Grey Matters. Give it a listen. I think she's pretty darned good.
