Billy Bragg has it on his CD "The Internationale" (Elektra/Utility 60960-2)

This version is partly choral, partly Billy Bragg, done in his own inimitable style.

It's a good CD, lots of other good tunes too:

The Internationale I Dreamed I Saw Phil Ochs Last NIght The Marching Song of the Covert Battalions Blake's Jerusalem Nicaragua Nicaraguita THe Red Flag (with Dick Gaughan helping on vocals) My Youngest Son Came Home Today

Na Strovye, Tovarich. . .

The Glasgow Socialist Women's Choir, led by Dolina McClellan, excels in this field. (They sang for Nelson Mandela when he visited the city.) I'm sure they'll have a tape or CD. Also, at the moving funeral of a lifelong Socialist I was at earlier in the year, The Internationale was sung by another choir - I think the tape in the crematorium came from the Euro MP Janey Buchan (widow of the late Norman Buchan, folksong enthusiast and collector.) I'll make further inquiries. Watch this space...

Can someone recommend a good choral recording of The Internationale, preferably in English? In fact, are there any collections of leftward-leaning songs in that tradition, preferably by choral groups rather than individual vocalists?
