Subject: RE: Tech: How do I get my cookie reset From: Joe Offer Date: 04 Mar 03 - 06:48 AM Send me an e-mail and I'll take care of it. Please give me your real name, your previous e-mail address, and your home address - so I can be reasonably sure I know who you are since there's a change in your e-mail. Please do not submit a new Mudcat Membership. Thanks. -Joe Offer- |

Subject: RE: Tech: How do I get my cookie reset From: Stilly River Sage Date: 03 Mar 03 - 05:53 PM Ah, yes. So many accounts these days use the email address as the logon or account name, but don't actually send any email. (My netLibrary account, for example, or the New York Times). Leaving an defunct address actually is pretty good if you want the account but don't want any mail, though they'd probably cancel you once they discover it. Anyway--I changed my email that I have registered with my Mudcat membership, but I probably did have to remember my password to do that. SRS |

Subject: RE: Tech: How do I get my cookie reset From: GUEST Date: 03 Mar 03 - 11:34 AM SRS you can't use the email thingy if your email has changed. You are right that you should not create another MudcatID. I would suggest an Email Joe Offer or Pene Azul. They can deal with it privately. Jon |

Subject: RE: Tech: How do I get my cookie reset From: Stilly River Sage Date: 03 Mar 03 - 11:04 AM There's a way to query it so you don't have to change your ID. It's the preferred fix because it will send your existing password to your registered email. |

Up on to is a link that says something about Membership. It'll take you to the Login screen. Pene or Joe Might be able to close your original account. Then you could create the same account again, but perhaps use a password more easily remembered. |
