Did anyone hear the new series which started on Radio 4 today at 1.30pm on the history and nature of the blues? Really good - the guy knows whereof he speaks! Part one went back to the earliest days. and included an interview with Othar Turner the Mississippi fifer who's obituary thread has been on the mudcat over the last few days, and which I don't seem to be able to find now. Snippets were included from Charlie Patton, John Hurt, Gus Cannon and others. Don't miss the rest of the series!
