If it is true that "dog days" may be coming to an end this year, then we, the folkies must try and do something to keep it going!
It has been a great event for so long, organised by two busy people who do (as usual) so much for other events around the country.
If they need help with raffle prizes then I am sure that we could donate as individuals or tap other sources. There must be ways that "we" could help to spread the load, turning up on the day and giving from our pockets is one thing, but helping them to help others is another. So turn up this year not only with a few bob to give but with ideas or an offer of help, we do not want to loose this event it is an important part of the u/k folk calendar. If you have not been to this weekend/festival/party then this may be your last chance to take part in something wonderful that may be dying, so don't put it off - turn up and be counted this year!
