Subject: RE: New folk site for Hull people From: Giac Date: 06 Mar 03 - 04:22 PM Okey dokey! I'm not sure how it got singed, that's how it was listed in the auction and I was intrigued by the idea of owning something singed by not only John, but Punch The Horse! When it does arrive, I'll proudly display it. By the way, does PTH have a CD? Not likely I'll be going to Hull to hear them, but I'd like to hear their music. **Grin** (Just messin' with ya, John) Mary |

Subject: RE: New folk site for Hull people From: Giac Date: 06 Mar 03 - 07:16 AM Hmmmm. Wonder if there is a critical shortage of bearmats in Hull. I paid $13 for a singed one (some months ago now), that I "won" at auction, but, alas, after being promised (twice) that it was forthcoming, it has not come forth. Sigh. ~8o( |

Subject: RE: New folk site for Hull people From: Rt Revd Sir jOhn from Hull Date: 06 Mar 03 - 04:47 AM Punch the Horse are very popular, people have traveled from allover England to see them, for example Micca travelled from London to see them 9a round trip of around 400 miles), see thread "Review:punch the Horse", also there are about 50 Mudcatters in Hull. |
|
Subject: RE: New folk site for Hull people From: John MacKenzie Date: 06 Mar 03 - 04:37 AM Does this mean the end of Punch the Horse threads on Mudflap? Somehow I doubt it. I mean there's no point in not putting notices about your gigs, on a site where about 97% of the people involved couldn't get to them even if they wanted. At least the PEL threads are important to all the inhabitants of England, and Wales, although they puzzle our offshore cousins. Anyway, good luck with the site Jo9hn et al. Giok |
