Date: 10 May 03 - 10:49 AM Been listening to the fantastic compilation album by Taraf de Haidouks (the Rumanian Gypsy band, totally unbelievably good), and there is a scorching song about the overthrow of Ceasescu called Balada Conducatoroli. Even not understanding any Rumanian, it is terrifying. I have the English lyrics (thanks record company), but would really love the Rumanian words, plus any thoughts about the song lyrics from any Rumanian (or Gypsy for that matter). A lot of these songs seem to have a similar structure. yours, Peter T. |
