Subject: RE: Lyr Req: A British Man of War From: Wolfgang Date: 24 Jun 03 - 10:11 AM GUEST 24 Jun 03 - 09:24 AM , you're mixing up two CDs: 'Voices: English Traditional songs, Fellside FECD 087' and ' Voices in Harmony: English Traditional Songs, Fellside FECD 158'. 'Cob-a-coaling' is on 'Voices', 'British man O' war' is on 'Voices in harmony'. I completely agree, however, with your recommendation for the Voices CD. Wolfgang |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: A British Man of War From: GUEST Date: 24 Jun 03 - 09:24 AM I'm pretty sure it's the Purslow set referenced by Masato above is the one sung on Voices in Harmony. And. since you asked for an opinion, I wholeheartedly recommend the CD. It's worth buying just for the Watersons' Cob a-Coaling, otherwise unreleased. |
