Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Save The Pub! From: Gareth Date: 02 Oct 03 - 07:25 PM Banks have no Soul - Only 'Balance Sheets' Question ? How did RBS get hold of the premises ?? Was it due to financial problems, such as a loan default by the owbers, or morgagees ? If so, the question must be asked why was there a financial failure. However, the key point is the planning permission change of use. Without knowing the exact circumstances etc. It is difficult to give precise advise but there could be a case for opposeing p0lanning permission. You have my permission to PM or Bell me. Subject: Lyr Req: Save The Pub! From: Forsh Date: 02 Oct 03 - 03:09 PM At the far south eastern corner of Northumberland, on the coast at Seaton Sluice, stands the Deleval Arms, a grade II listed building, a fine pub, with strong community links, a queue at Sunday lunch times and a folk club/sing-around in the back room. It is the first thing you see in Northumberland as you drive into the county via the coastal route. Now the owners, (Royal Bank of Scotland) say that they will sell it to be developed into 4 luxuary flats, and build posh houses on the car park area, if planning permission is granted, (Bast***ds!) So, any one got any good 'save the pub' type song? parodies are most acceptable! |
