Thanks folks, it would be great seeing him again. Believe it or not, I taught him to play the Blackthorn Stick on the concertina about 40 years ago!

Jim - Louis is currently living in Gateshead having returned to his roots.

I have no doubt that he will get down south from time to time. Should be able to get a contact for you if you can't make the St Albans concert on Friday.

Louis Killen is an old mate and I haven't seen him in years. Does anyone know his current routine and will he be anywhere near London soon?

Thanks for info jenup. Great news about Mike Silver night. I was in Suffolk that night so a bit too far to travel:0)

Will be there to see Mudcatter "burl" on the 17th Oct and looking forward to watching progress of the club over the coming months.

Wonderful, wonderful night with Louis Killen! Memorable! Hope you were there last Friday, John, for Mike Silver. Absolutely BARNSTORMING! ... despite Mike's sore throat...and great floor singers as usual.

[Afraid the raffle seems to have taken a down-turn but I don't think that will put music lovers off.]

I hope the rest of the season goes as well.

The atmosphere at the Grove ten days ago was quite the best I have experienced in the three years since returning to "Folk"

Louis Killen responded magnificently and gave a wonderful performance.

A song each from nine floor singers was icing on the cake.

We will be returning soon!!
