Robert Palmer, the writer behind Deep Blues was also the writer for Rock & Roll: An Unruly History. He died of liver disease in New York, 1997.

Robert Palmer is the name behind the great film Deep Blues. Is he still alive? Even if not, how does he differ from Britain's Palmer whose early death was such a shock? Corel All-music Guide does not distinguish (in my edition).
