Just heard funeral details: Chris will be cremated at Carleton Crematorium at 2.00pm Wednesday 14 January. No flowers by request, and the service will be Humanist.

That's sad news I will pass it on on to everyone at the Falcon - he was a grand lad RIP Chris.

Chris McGough has died following a long struggle. Chris was a guitarist, and one-time member of the Festival Ceilidh Band and Past Carin'. He had kidney problems for most of his life: he had a transplant which gave him better health for some years; sadly, this failed, and because of heart problems another transplant was never on the cards.

He leaves Liz, his partner who was a constant source of strength and support.
