Wilby, I had tried to locate any reference in Mudcat and had failed until I tried the spelling Magdalena. The song has been mentioned here. The poster seems to know this song so the best idea would be to send him/her a PM (private Mail) via Mudcat.

After all the help I have had from catters in the past I find it hard to believe that no one has the answer, but, I suppose there is always a first time.

Anyone help! I have a friend who is named Magdelena and we have recently been researching the origin etc. Did not know there was a song until I read it in one of the threads, and I would just love to suprise her with either the lyrics or if I can get it, a copy of the song.

Any details would be gratefully received.
