Subject: Moor & Coast festival under threat From: muppett Date: 29 Jan 04 - 08:38 AM Just been on the whitby today web site ( whitbytoday.co.uk )and seen an article which says that Whitby community college is having to apply for permission to allow it's playing field to used by carvans because of a complaint to Scarborough Council, and the application is likley to be turned down because of concerns about rd. safety. It goes onto say that organisers of the moor & coast festival have seriously considered scrapping the event because of the wrangle. Does anyone else have any more news about it, How about George C or Raggtash, can either of you throw any light on the matter. |
