Subject: RE: a very interesting 'other' lyrics site! From: Bill D Date: 17 Feb 04 - 07:18 PM yes...it sure could be! NONE I have seen had line breaks...I surf in Opera 90% of the time...but I will now try the site in 2-3 other browsers. I sure hope it is not an IE only site! |

Subject: RE: a very interesting 'other' lyrics site! From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 17 Feb 04 - 06:37 PM A useful one to bookmark. All the songs I opened at random had line breaks - could the problem be in your own computer or browser Bill? (I'm using Internet Explorer with Windows 98) |

Subject: RE: a very interesting 'other' lyrics site! From: Cattail Date: 17 Feb 04 - 06:08 PM Hi Bill D, thanks for the link, now saved for future reference. Incidentally, I tried seven songs, six of them had line breaks, I.E in verses and one didn't, so looks good. Thanks again Cattail ! |

Subject: a very interesting 'other' lyrics site! From: Bill D Date: 17 Feb 04 - 05:23 PM I literally stumbled on this site while searching for ALL the words to "I'VE GOT TEARS IN MY EARS (FROM LYIN' ON MY BACK IN MY BED WHILE I CRY OVER YOU)"...........It was the only place I found them (besides Mudcat, of course) They have thousands (over 22,000, it says!) of strange lyrics to songs I never knew existed, submitted by volunteers, evidently. Folk, pop, opera, foreign, ...whatever. Browse at your own discretion, but be warned...NONE of their lyrics seem to have line breaks! Maybe that is a small price to pay, but it sure looks daunting in some items.. from the entry page: "Welcome to International Lyrics Playground - the most comprehensive lyrics site on the net! We are not here to bring you the latest hits. ARCHIVED LYRICS ARE FROM ARTISTS, COMPOSERS WHO WERE ESTABLISHED PRE 1980. We do hope to be able to provide the lyrics to those wonderful songs that live with us all forever" |
