I lived in that area for nearly a year. In a word NO. The city has no character, unless it has changed quite a bit. The best place to try (I think ) would be Hunter mtn.,a ski area that has something going on most of the year. Make sure you check about permits from Albany, because those damn Albanyites will stick it to you. Saratoga is quite a distance from Albany. Good luck and say hello to the purple sage tumbleweed for me. S,U.N.Y Albany is a place ou might try. Rennsalare Poly Tech. might be another good place. It's in Troy.

Can anybody suggest good spots for busking in upstate New York? Specifically the Albany-Saratoga-Troy area. Do many cities have laws against street performances?
