I asked what that meant and got this reply: "The stack a/v material is kept in our Rare Book Room, a closed area in our basement. One of the overhead water ducts ruptured in this room, wetting part of the collection. It has been made 'Temporarily unavailable' while our conservators examine each piece that was damaged to see if it can be repaired. "The conservators anticipate that the evaluation and repair of the material will take months." I don't know how to square this with Bob Bolton's information, above. |

Subject: RE: 1970 Port Jackson Folk Festival From: Bob Bolton Date: 11 Aug 08 - 01:16 AM G'day bluegrasser and John Goodall, Macquarie University turned over its tape collection (lodged by New South Wales Folk Federation) to the National Library of Australia (Music Department ... or Oral History ... ?). I found this when I enquired about tapes I had lodged with the NSW FF collection. Regards, Bob |
