The Help Server is still down. I don't know about Max's Mudcat e-mail, but I know my Mudcat address still works for me and I think it still works for Jeff.

Max is [e-mail]

These addresses are set to forward to whatever e-mail server we're currently using. If you need help, holler.

I've been having problems with my ISP all night - keeps either not being available or breaking the phone connection. Maybe all part of the same problem

Right now when I click on help I get:

The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings...

Often enough I've been able to get Help, but not the main Mudcat - this is the first time it's happened this way round.

okay - sorry foulestroupe - didn't see an address referece in your message. onstagemedia is deceased as far as I know. Has been for quite some time.

as I repeated it above, the address I was given from the page was

not anyone at mudcat.org.... if a web page tells me to email a particular address, I do, until I find out that it is obsolete....

As I said - I believe that the e-mail and help forum of mudcat are both hosted on the same server. So if help is down - [e-mail] or [e-mail] or whoever at mudcat.org would not be available to incoming mail - thus resulting in a bounce when e-mailed from you.

No MMario, the email was sent by me from my mailer - it bounced as the address would not respond to my ISP. If the domain of the emailer is on the the same area as the mudcat server that could be the case, but one would normally expect an email server to be seperate from web service hosting machines.

Incidentally, I forgot to remove the < etc signs around the email address, so it hid it...

I don't even know if this address that responds from the web link in the error message is still current, which is why I sent a 'heads-up' here.

This might explain why when I tried to start a new thread on Mudcat Help, and hit go, it just sat there trying to load, and wouldn't.

I worked the problem out anyway, so it didn't really matter in the end (not to me anyway).

I'm not positive - but I think if Help is down the mudcat mail program is down as well.
