Subject: RE: Guitar white pages From: Mark Clark Date: 24 May 04 - 06:59 PM Search eBay for guitar white pages and you'll find a lot of these for sale. It's evidently a series of books, vol 1, vol 2, etc. Some have 150 songs and one, called Greater Guitar White Pages, has 230 songs. One ad lists the following tunes as contents: (Can't Live Without Your) Love And AffectionThey claim to be exact transcriptions but that's probably a pretty loose use of the word exact. I'm only guessing here, I haven't seen one of these, but I'll bet the notes have been transcribed and any accompanying tablature is computer generated. I can't believe that they found competent musicians who actually knew exactly how each of these tunes was played and got them to write it out as tablature. Or am I too cynical? - Mark |
