I'll be there, playing for the Shakespeare Morris Men's dancing bear!
"I can laugh, dance and sing!"

Derek and Mary Droscher (Merek'n'Dary) are organising a song and music session in the Globe room of the Reindeer between 12 and 2 on Saturday lunch time. Should be good so turn up and watch the Hobby Horse and other animals in the morning and afternoon and the Reindeer for lunch.

If you have a Hobby Horse just turn up on the Saturday or Sunday. We will be pleased to see you.

Adrian

We have the mayor's official invite on the folk club room wall, though it's too soon to tell yet.

Last year the vicar at Adderbury invited the Mari into the church during the morning service, and Anne, her handler, gave a short talk to the congregation about the tradition.

BTW if anyone wants more on the Mari Lwyd, you can go to www.folkwales.org/ and follow the link. (sorry still can't do clickies)

Thanks Guest.

Maybe Mari Lwyd would like another holiday in Banbury next year.

Llantrisant's Mari Lwyd was there last year on her holidays and had a wonderful time. Unfortunately she is busy this year so sends her apologies.
