Subject: RE: You can search for URLs in the Forum! From: Geoff the Duck Date: 30 Jun 04 - 04:55 AM Fair enough! What are the tags which you use to identify Miditext messages then? AND - are there any other specifics where it might be useful to us other than just when we recall an unusually formatted posting e.g. purple text in a thread? Quack! Geoff. |

Subject: RE: You can search for URLs in the Forum! From: MMario Date: 29 Jun 04 - 08:16 PM if you KNOW a particular html tag such as font color=purple is in the text - use that (color=purple) to search on. combined with other search features it can sometimes narrow a search down by a large percentage. |

Subject: You can search for URLs in the Forum! From: Jim Dixon Date: 29 Jun 04 - 11:57 AM Hey, kids! I just learned something. You can use the "Lyrics and Knowledge Search" to search for, and find, URLs in the Forum, even when they're hidden behind links and you wouldn't normally see them. For example, if you want to see all the times somebody has posted a link to The Record Lady's All-Time Country Favorites, you can search for "recordlady.webgcs.com" and you will find links that looks like this: Record Lady as well as links that look like this: Click here. It doesn't work if you search for "http://recordlady.webgcs.com" or "recordlady.webgcs.com/main2.htm". Apparently the "/" marks queer the deal. |
