My father tells me some of the folk here listen to radio over this new fangled magic interweb thingy, and he told me I should come here and plug the radio show I've just started, so I'm doing just that. It's called Eclectica and the remit is to play stuff that mainstream radio stations don't play much these days because they're tied to computer generated playlists and all that c**p.

I've just done the first show and it went well, and it was surely the first time Steve Goodman and Stan Rogers had been played on the station, so that's got to be good. Anyway the plan is for it to go out twice weekly, with shifting timeslots. The next one is at 1pm gmt this Wednesday and it's going to be a Gram Parsons special, tracing a musical line from the International Submarine Band right up to Ryan Adams.

And on Tuesday 27th at 8pm gmt I'll be running an interview with John Stirratt of Wilco talking about his side project The Autumn Defense, and that show has tracks from Tim Hardin, Colin Blunstone and, if I can track it down in time, a song by a Senegalese voodoo rock act called Exuma which John requested I play. Which should live up to the name of the show if nothing else.

So if you think this sounds up your street hit my website for details of how to listen in, and make a date in your diary. I need all the listeners I can get, and if I don't play at least one song or artist each show that you've never heard before I will come to your house and hoover your floors in penance :-)

This has been a shameless plug by Scott Andrews
