That's why it didn't work when I went in to test it. Thanks, I'll get there, eventually (might still beat Skippy!)

Oh dear! I think that should have been http://www.broadsheet.org.uk

I think you left out the "http://" bit...

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions. On reflection,it seems strange to be asking about activities in East Anglia since that's where I grew up, (hence my writing 'Fenland').
Slightly off thread, but then it's mine anyway, if anyone needs to know about folk in the Thames Valley/West London visit The Broadsheet
This is a blatant excuse to test making a Blue Clicky, (Thanks Joe for the pm advice, appreciated.)

I don't know of anything towards Stalham. I'm in North Norfolk and every regular event I attend is in Norwich.

I don't know of any other folk club but here are a few sessions:

Tuesday: Session in the Nelson. I've not been to this in ages and unsure of the format but I think any type of folk tune is acceptable and there might even be singing.

Thursday: Session in the Nelson. Strictly Irish instrumental.

2nd Friday of month: The Irish Society of East Anglia meet in the Pickwick. The format is usually a session with most of the Thursday night Nelson crowd attending. There is also some singing.

Sunday: Session in the White Lion. Mostly Irish instrumental. It seems to run weekly but Kate advises me to phone her before going to this one. I don't believe in giving personal details out. I'm not sure but it may be possible to contact her through her group, XIM to get more details.

As far as I am aware the ggreat yarmouth Folk Club still meets in the Salisbury Arms in Cobholm every Tuesday night. One of the leading lights when I used to attend Was Tony Dinsdale, who is listed as organising the Reedham Folk Festival in September

Anyone know of any folk clubs near Stalham? I visit down there regularly, anything North-East of Norwich really. Thanks.

Wisbech is somewhere west of Norwich (and a bit north) and has Tuesday folk club.

Also Norwich folk club at the Branford Arms. Phone to check they're doing anything this month. Ely isn't meeting till September so you'll miss that.

Maybe Waveney in Lowestoft, but it looks like you'd better phone Carole first to find out if there's anything on.

Also check the Peterborough Folk Diary

After White Horse Folk Festival, visit that thread and refresh, we're planning to holiday in Norfolk staying just west of Norwich.
What folk events/clubs are there running in the area over the next fortnight?
Any suggestions?
