Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Stew Leonards Jingles From: Jim Dixon Date: 09 Nov 04 - 08:21 AM The Stew Leonard's website is kind of fun to browse through, but I couldn't find any mention of the advertising jingles. I see they have a suggestion box, though. You might try suggesting that they add some jingles to their website. |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Stew Leonards Jingles From: Rabbi-Sol Date: 07 Nov 04 - 09:32 PM Whether or not you like the store (I do), the tunes and lyrics are really good. Did anyone come up with the words yet ? They will soon be opening a 4th store in Melville, Long Island this summer. I hope we get the words to the jingles before that. SOL SELLER |

Subject: Lyr Req: Stew Leonards Jingles From: Rabbi-Sol Date: 30 Oct 04 - 09:21 PM You Mudcatters who live in the area around Norwalk or Danbury, Connecticut or Yonkers, NY are probably familiar with the name Stew Leonards. They are huge grocery supermarkets and have often been referred to as the Disneyworld of fresh dairy and produce stores. They are also very child friendly with animated cows to show the milking process as well as live duck ponds. One feature of these stores is the constant playing of special recorded jingles that have been very professionally produced. I am trying to get the words to 3 of these jingles. a) "Kids Love Shopping At Stew Leonards" (to the tune of Battle Hymn Of The Republic" b) "The Chiquita Bannana Song" (to the tune of the original, but with different words describing how nutritious bannanas are.) c) "They Say Fresh Vegetables Are Good For You" (I believe it is an original tune) If anyone has all the words to any or all 3 jingles, please post them here. Also, I would like to get information as to who the writers and performers are that put them together. Believe me when I say they are a class act in every sense of the word. SOL ZELLER |
