Subject: RE: Tech: Anyone use WIN MovieMaker? From: My guru always said Date: 18 Nov 04 - 01:51 PM I used Movie-maker about a year ago, didn't have it locking up on me though. I remember it was better to capture movies in small chunks and save each chunk as part of a collection. Then editing & creating movies from the collection. Re WIN Service pack error message, what did it say? I only had WIN Service pack 1 on the PC when I was sorting movies. Since then Service pack 2 has come out & I should be wary of downloading this one if I were you, lots of people have experienced problems with SP2. If you have a branded Firewall set up this may interfere with downloading WIN stuff, may be an idea to disable it, then enable the Windows Firewall & then download. Don't forget to always have a firewall enabled when connected to the Net though. You can always disable the Windows firewall & reinstate the regular one after the download. Apologies if this is too simple a solution or if I'm trying to teach you to suck eggs, not intentional at all! Hil |
