And why do you consistently ignore the people who quite rightly point out that he didn't write them any more than any of the other folksingers who sang them back then? |

He was a memeber of The Hillbillies back in the 1920s. He wrote such songs as "East Tennessee Blues" and "Nine Pound Hammer".
