Subject: Review: Bury Hospice benefit gig From: VIN Date: 22 Nov 04 - 08:23 AM Had a great night on Saturday at the Servite Parish Hall, Prestwich in aid of Bury Hospice and in memory of Dave Wetherall. A packed house was brilliantly entertained by a great un-accompanied trio of ladies called 'Hands In Pockets' (be nice to see em at Saddleworth Ali). Then there was the fab 'Redmayne' and great contributions from Dave Wynn and Martin Hall. The main guest was the brilliant Bernard Wrigley who had the audience entranced with great songs, poems and chat. (Every time i by a packet of wrigleys gum, i always think of Bernard's guitar neck - those who've seen im will know what i mean) So many thanks to the organisers! The evening raised ove £1100 pounds for the Hospice. |
