Hey Brian, no sorry was camping with my kids in Wales. I have looked at a few of the postings from the catter you mentioned, he is a right wing reactionary bastard, is he not.

Getting back to JRB, I saw Matt Taylor in another of his icarnations as a Shirker at the Chindit last night. They have a fantastically wide repertoire of covers, as well as a few of Mark's songs and the level of their musicianship is great. Regulars on a Thursday night at the quarter house.

Good to see JRB get a mention. Matt Taylor who plays acoustic bass, flute, whistles, bass pedals and saxophone was playing in my local ub, the Chindit in Wolverhampton, this evening. One of my favourite musicians.

It never fails to amaze me how many really good songs John has written.

I went to see the John Richards Band last night at the Chequemates Folk Club in Tamworth (Staffs UK) and I can Highly recommend them!!

John Richards is a prolific West Midlands based songwriter (songs covered by Fairport etc) and has gathered a tight unit around him with sparkling vocals and tremendous instrumental dexterity!!

Get on his website, and make sure your club and festival book the band for next year, while you still can!!
