George - with a generic domain name like that - folk4all.net - you could keep very busy hosting web sites for anyone and everyone!

Free hosts that pop up any kinf of banners or adverts are horrible - don't all ISP's give you some web space? Mine gives me 250Mb of it!

(and I do host sites for a few local folk clubs)

I host a number of clubs in my webspace, Maryrrf. The servers are US-based, yet access in Europe is great anyway. No popups, no funnies. IBM Websphere Studio Homepage Builder is the tool I use for maintenance, and it's a doddle. If it's not too much hassle, you could send me the material and I can build your pages for you.

Visitors won't need to go through my own website, but the address would be something like: www.folk4all.net/maryrrfindex/

If you are interested, PM me.

You can't beat freewebs It is free and has no ads or pop-ups. It has a great user interface. you can have a site ip in 10 minutes with no html knowledge. After 40 days you get a small banner ad at the top.

I need to set up a temporary website to promote an upcoming music event. For this reason I don't want to use a pay site, just a freebie since I'll only be using it for a month or so and only need to put up some text and a few pictures. I could use Yahoo Geocities, but are there any good ones out there that won't innundate clickers with pop ups? Just looking for suggestions. Thanks!
