Subject: RE: Scarborough From: John Robinson (aka Cittern) Date: 05 Mar 05 - 12:14 PM The advertised concert in the Bedford is "Scolar's Notes" - an excellent concert series - worth supporting. http://www.scholarsnotes.co.uk/ There is a Scarborough Folk Club but I have no info on them (failed to get a response from any communications with them so far). Hope this helps. John Robinson Acoustyistics Ltd http://www.JulieEllison.co.uk |

Subject: RE: Scarborough From: Polly Squeezebox Date: 05 Mar 05 - 06:38 AM Give my love to my home town, Cats, it's been a long time since I was there. Although, I was somewhere between dreaming and waking this morning and imagined that I was laid on the beach just below the Spa looking towards the lighthouse and castle, now I know why - you were obviously thinking of it. Can't help with folk events - although I'm pretty sure there is a song club in Scarborough. You will DEFINITELY need your woolly socks and thermals. Have a great time. Polly |
Subject: Scarborough From: Cats Date: 04 Mar 05 - 04:56 PM I'm coming up to Scarborough on Tuesday for Womens TUC Conference, flying back on Friday. Apart from the advertised concert in the Bedford on Tuesday, is there anything else going on..informal session / sing anywhere within easy public transport distance. I'll have no car as I am flying up. By the way, will I need my woolly socks and thermal underwear? |
