Subject: RE: St. Pat's in San Diego From: Amos Date: 05 Mar 05 - 03:47 AM Kaleea: I only know one place in town for Irish hijinks, a Pub just off Balboa and Genessee. Been years since I was there, though. Well, we're building a Mudcat community around here!! I hope you'll join us at Balboa Park for a little picking and grinning. Drop me a PM, lemme know when you' ll be in town and we will have an evening of music one day!! Welcome to San Diattle, where the water keeps on coming down!! We're in the midst of our rainiest rainy season ever. But in between, you get that endless subshine!! A |

Subject: St. Pat's in San Diego From: Kaleea Date: 05 Mar 05 - 03:11 AM For the first time in I can't remember how many years, I am playing NO St. Pat's gigs this year cause I'll be visiting my neice in San Diego most of March. My band mates nearly all fainted cause I'm the one who knows all the Irish tunes! I'm wondering were I might go to hear a good session of trad Irish Music. I won't be taking any of my instruments (unless I can sneak that most deadly weapon--a whistle--on the plane!)so I'll just be listening. Being an old fuddy-duddy, I prefer the traditional Music to new rockoutwithbagpipes&distortedelecguitar stuff. I have heard that there's a large Irish-American community in San Diego. I'll be in the Ocean Beach area, but will have my car. Since I'll be moving out there about June, I might as well meet some of the folks. Thanks! Kaleea |
