Probably John - and I'll be talking about Lancaster Maritime. Shame these 2 events clash!

I'm sorry I didn't make your singaround Bernard; t'other half wasn't feeling up to it. :-(

I'm really glad it went well. Will we be hearing any reports on the radio type wireless?

John

I'm back home from my first Poynton Festival - and what a great festival it was, too!

Top of the bill was Fairport Acoustic, and they went down a storm!

I was delighted to see my old mate Fiona Simpson, who still sounds as good as she did some twenty years ago, plus lots of friends old and new.

Ann English won the songwriters competition - and a very worthy winner, too. Although I didn't attend the competiton (I was on the line-up for the afternoon concert, which clashed), I was fortunate to hear Ann and her daughter perform the song at the morning singaround.

'Sad Pig' (Dave Hughes and Judy Hancock), along with Dave and Linda Green and a myriad of helpers, made the whole weekend a pleasure for everyone. There was something for everybody, and I'm glad I was privileged to be included in the guest list.
