Sorry we didn't make it ... after not getting back until after 1am and the cats bringing us presents in the night, then deciding that 6.30am is getting up and having first breakfast time (I'm sure Isolde is a hobbit really, she has first breakfast when I get up, then second breakfast when Jon gets up..., we were in no fit state. we did mangae to raise a glass of wine to you, though.

A really great day was had by all who attended, our numbers were relatively small - but oh! what quality!!!!!
Thanks Sue for the sticks I think we made a great team, Holsworthy Town are still talking about it!!!!!

I thought you meant the ones that the Irish gave to the Scots - as a joke. Although to be fair - I have heard those played well - when they were being played in Glencoe and I was in the next glen.

Yes please sue, let Bideford know!!! Looking forward to seeing you. We may have to make a very itchy scratch morris team if all else fails.... I have offered my morris minors (all under 11) as a last resort!!!!! We aim to get started around 11am ish, but if you get there before us, dont wait, just start!!!!!! The idea of the day is to have fun and enjoy. (and to drink a little!!!)
So if youve got nothing better to do next Saturday, come and see St George slay the dragon, down a few pints, risk being drafted into a morris side and have a good sing and play - go on, the more the merrier!!!

I'll be there during the day - with Liz from St Columb though she doesn't know yet (but she's staying the weekend). What time do you expect to get started.

Will pass the info onto Bideford Folk Club - although maybe you've told Hilary by now.

Exmoor Border are mumming in North Devon for St Georges Day, so won't make it. Sorry.

Thanks for the refresh, shambles, Hope to see you there Kathy & Jon, Fidle, Holsworthy is between Okehampton and Bude, close to the North Cornwall border, The Kings Arms is in the Square. It depends where you are coming fcrom as to how to get there, but it is easily located on a map! I would suggest A30 then follow signs for Holsworthy, into the centre of the small town and you can park in one of 3 car parks.

All you catters in the Devon and North Cornwall area and beyond, if you wish to venture forth! There will be an all day & evening session and sing on St Georges Day (Sat 23rd April) at The Kings Arms in the Market Square, Holsworthy. Please come and join in, this is the landlords first all day event and he is keen to have more. Also any Morris sides, who would like to come and dance will be more than welcome, and I am sure the landlord will sort them out with orange squash or something similar!!!!!!!
